MESSAGE 

MEANING / ACTION 

You have either not specified a relationship Start Date 

for a new Practice, or have removed the Start Date for 

the current Practice composition. 

Enter the missing date(s).

DATE invalid 

Either the `Date registered', the `Date first registered', 

the `Date closed' or the `Start Date' for this Practice 

composition has been entered in an incorrect format. 

Ensure that all dates are entered in the format 

DD.MM.YYYY.

NEW GMS vs Start 

The Practice Start Date cannot be changed because it 

has already been utilised as the basis for payments made 

to the Practice. 

DATE < 01.04.1948 

Date should be after 01.04.1948. 

DATE REG < START 

The `Date registered' cannot be before the `Date first 

registered'. 

DATE < Date reg d 

The start date must be later than or equal to the date 

registered. 

DATE > Rel ship date 

The start date must not be after that of the earliest 

relationship start date. Enter a valid date. 

DATE > 1st contract 

The date registered must not be later than the first 

contract start date. (This can be viewed from the pop up 

window on the Key field.) 

DATE < 01.01.2003 

New Practices must have a start date no earlier than this 

date. 

TYPE missing 

Contract type is mandatory for responsible practices. 

TYPE not req d 

Contract type not required for new non responsible 

practices. 

TYPE invalid 

Contract type must be  G  or  P . 

TYPE must be G/P 

Contract Type of each new contract must be different 

from the previous contract type. 

TYPE unchanged 

You have added a new contract start date but the type is 

unaltered. Contract type must be changed. 

START not req d 

Contract start not required for new non responsible 

practices. 

START missing 

Contract start is mandatory for responsible practices. 

START unchanged 

You have amended the contract type (ADD MODE), but 

have not entered the new start date. 

START < 01.01.2003 

No contract start date may be specified earlier than this
