PC SCREEN
within the latest configuration of the partnership, and remove the specified partnership
code from the screen. The individual GP codes can then be amended if necessary.
The remaining fields can contain the local codes of up to 24 individual GPs who belong
to the Practice.
Either
GP codes
or
a partnership code can be entered: you cannot enter
both together.
Enter the codes of
all
the GPs who will be within this Practice with effect from the start
date you have just entered. Note that, even if you are only adding one GP to a Practice
which already contains several members, you must still enter the codes of
all
the GPs
who are remaining in the Practice as well as the code of the new GP. Any previous
members whose codes are not entered will not be included in the new Practice
composition.
The GPs whose codes are entered on this screen must not belong to any other Practice as
of the Start Date you have specified. A GP can
only
belong to
one
Practice at any one
time.
It is possible to merge in the complete make up of one or more other Practices by
entering all the GP codes from within those Practices. This will have the effect of
ending the most recent configuration of those other Practices, thereby making them
read only.
Middle Part of the Screen
The middle section of the Existing Practice Composition screen allows you to view
and/or amend the current composition of the Practice, and the start date when that
composition commenced. Only users with FULL access rights to the PC screen can
make changes to the Practice composition.
NOTE
This part of the screen should only be used to amend the Practice composition if
a mistake was made when it was originally entered.
If the actual GP composition of a Practice changes, amendments should be made
using the top half of the screen, as described above. This will allow a full audit
history of the Practice's composition to be maintained.
The audit history of the Practice can be viewed on the bottom part of this screen
page and on subsequent pages, as described below.
Action
Enter either `A' to amend the current composition, or `D' to delete it.
Entering an action code of `A' allows you to amend the Start Date and/or GP codes for
the current composition of this Practice. If the start date is amended, the new start date
must be after the start dates of all previous compositions of the Practice.
If you enter an action code of `D', the current Practice composition will be deleted. The
Practice will then revert to its previous composition and start date (if any). The system
will prevent you from deleting the current practice composition if the previous
composition for this Practice includes a GP who is now a part of another Practice.
If the composition you are trying to delete is the result of merging one or more
Practices, then this will not be possible if the composition of any of those other Practices
has changed since the merge. If the composition of the other Practices has not changed,
