MESSAGE 

MEANING / ACTION 

Enter a different code for the new PCO.

CODE invalid 

You have entered a National code which does not begin 

with either 4 (PCG), 5 (PCT), 6 (LHB) or T (CT).  

Enter 

a valid code whose first character is either `4', `5', `6' 

or `T'.

CODE not known 

A code has been entered that does not exist on the PCO 

Weighted Normalising Index file. This is a DoH 

sourced file by PCO which contains a  score  used in 

the calculation of Global Sum. 

Enter a known, valid 

PCO code.

NAME missing 

A new PCO must have a name. 

 Enter the PCO name.

NAME invalid 

The PCO name must not contain  special characters  

such as /  \  ,  #  |  @     [ ] { } _ * ~ ^ $ or  .  

Enter a 

valid PCO name.

LEVEL missing 

A PCG level must be specified.  

Enter the PCG level (1 

  4).

LEVEL invalid 

The PCG level must be 1, 2, 3 or 4. 

HA missing 

The Q code of the Health Authority responsible for this 

PCO must be specified.  

Enter the HA Q code.

HA invalid 

The Q code which you have specified is not valid.  

Enter the correct Q code for the responsible HA.

CIPHER changed 

A change of Q code is not permitted if this would mean 

that the home cipher gained or lost responsibility for the 

PCO. 

DATE < 01.04.1998 

Date should be after 01.04.1998. 

Re enter the date.

DATE > Date Closed 

The start date must be before or equal to the date closed.

DATE < Date reg'd 

The start date must be later than or equal to the date 

registered. 

DATE > Rel'ship date 

The PCO start date may not be amended so that it is 

later than the earliest relationship start date. 

DATE fixed 

The PCO start date may not be amended if the current 

date is not in the future. 

DATE REG < ESTAB 

The `Date registered' cannot be before the `Date 

established'. 

DATE invalid 

Either the `Date established', the `Date registered', the 

`Date closed' or the `Start Date' for this PCO 

composition has been entered in an incorrect format.  

Ensure that all dates are entered in the format 

DD.MM.YYYY.
