Understanding the Golden Hello Payments Screen 

Amount 

The format of the amount is 99999.99 or 99999.  The Golden Hello Amounts shown in 

Figures 21 and 22 are derived as follows: 

Standard Payment to eligible doctors: 

Commitment 50% or more (identified as Full Time or FT on the GR screen)   

 5,000; 

Commitment 25% to 49% (identified as Part Time or PT on the GR screen)   

 3,000.   

Additional Payment (applicable only to a post in a PMS practice linked to a PCT or 

PCG included in the list of areas attracting additional payments): 

Commitment 50% or more (identified as Full Time or FT on the GR screen)   

 5,000; 

Commitment 25% to 49% (identified as Part Time or PT on the GR screen)   

 3,000.   

Start Date

The format of the start date is dd.mm.yy
