GMSQP Reference Manual

To view a "read only" index showing trainee details, enter I in the qualifier.  This 

includes the trainee name, GMC number, trainer, dates of traineeship and an indicator to 

show if a salary is held. 

NOTE 

A trainee who later becomes a principal or an assistant must have separate 

details entered on GD or AS. 

Understanding the Trainee Details Screen  

This screen is used for input and maintenance of the trainee s personal identity details 

(name, date of birth, address, etc.).  The lower half of the screen is used to record the 

trainee s correspondence address. 

Surname 

The trainee's surname. The field must be entered. 

Forenames 

The trainee's forename.  This field must be entered. 

Date of Birth 

Must be of the form DD.MM.YY(YY) 

Title 

Optional area for free text. 

Sex 

Must be F   Female, or M   Male. 

Qualifications  

Trainee's qualifications   optional field. 

Address 

Up to three lines of thirty characters each may be entered. 

Postcode 

Must be a valid postcode if entered. 

Corres. Indic

.  

This field is mandatory and is used to define the address to which the trainee s 

correspondence should be sent. 

Corres. Address 

If the indicator is a C, this field is mandatory.  Up to four lines of thirty characters each 

may be entered.
