Must be present.

GMC code cannot change if payment run is in progress. 

GMC CODE invalid 

Must be 7 numeric characters. 

GMC CODE exists   

QUERY message.  Caution   the GMC code exists for 

another GP. 

C NTRY BIRTH absent 

Country of birth must be present. 

COUNTRY not known 

Not a valid code as shown on the FC screen. 

START DATE absent 

Start date must be present. 

START DATE invalid 

Must be a valid date. 

START can t change 

Cannot change start date to a later date than the start date 

of a partnership in which the GP is involved. 

START before 18 years 

Must be at least 18 years after date of birth. 

START DATE too old 

The start date of the GP must not be before 1948. 

START > 3mths ahead 

Must be less than 3 months in the future. 

DATE in prev qtr 

Start date entered cannot be in a paid Finance quarter. 

START v IOS 

Start must be after earliest IOS claim. 

CHANGE of START has 

QUERY message.  Should not change start if payment 

serious Finance Implications 

has been made to this GP. 

BALANCE in progress 

GP start date cannot change if a balancing run is in 

progress.

Last post held must be present.

Must be a valid code as shown on the FC screen.

This PMS GP is a member of a partnership.  Set the 

marker on the GP screen. 

PAYMENT made 

The PMS marker cannot be set after a payment has been 

made.
