Workaround Procedure 2 

This is an alternative procedure which has the advantage that the partnership payment 

resulting from the GP s change of working hours commitment will be calculated 

automatically by FJ GMPP.  However, this procedure also has the disadvantages that 

more work is involved in the workaround and the GP's local code will change. 

Assign a new local code to the GP. 

   1) 

Set up the GP on the GD screen using the new local code and enter the new 

working hours commitment status on page 3. 

   2) 

Set up the GP s financial details on the GB screen using the new local code. 

   3) 

Terminate the partnership for the GP's old local code: 

Enter the partnership end date on the GP screen. 

If the partnership is involved in the Health Promotion Programmes, 

enter an end date on the HA screen. 

If the partnership receives a Quality Service payment, enter an end date 

on the QS screen. 

   4) 

Terminate the GP's old local code on the GD screen. 

   5) 

Set up a new partnership on the GP screen using the GP's new local code. 

   6) 

Set up any individual shares for the new partnership (GP screen with qualifier 

S/code). 

   7) 

Set up banking details for the new partnership and the new local code on the 

BK screen. 

   8) 

If the partnership is involved in the Health Promotion Programmes, set up the 

details on the HA screen using the new partnership start date. 

   9) 

If the partnership receives a Quality Service payment, set up the details on the 

QS screen using the new partnership start date. 

  10)  Transfer any Postgraduate Courses to the new local code using the PJ screen 

with a qualifier of old local code/T. 

  11)  Amend the Practice Details on the PC screen. 

  12)  Bulk Transfer the GP's patients from the old local code to the new local code 

via the B1 and B2 screens.
