Appendix 4: Configuring RealOne Player 

RealOne Player must be configured manually to use the Broadband satellite path.  In its default state it 

will continue to use only the telephone path even after the ASTRA proxy client software has been 

installed. To configure RealOne Player: 

1. Launch Real Player  

2. To configure Real Player for the Proxy solution, and select the menu option:  

Tools >Preferences  

In the Category pane, click on the Proxy option.  

In the Streaming Settings group box, click on the `Change Settings` button. 

In the `HTTP Proxy` group box de select the first three radio button (as required), select the Use proxy 

radio button and type in `127.0.0.1` and `9202` in the text boxes, as shown below. 

4. In the Category (left hand) pane of the Preferences window, select the `Network  Transports` 

option. The Network Transports view is displayed. Check the checkbox, `Manually configure 

connection settings` and then click on the `RTSP Settings` button.
