In Step 6.6.2, you have the opportunity to configure applications such as email and news groups to 

use the satellite proxy.  For each application, you must know the server address and the port number 

used by that application.  (For an example of how to configure Microsoft Outlook, see Appendix 5.) 

Note: you do not need to make any changes at this step for web browsing to be accelerated.

Note: it is not essential to configure applications at Step 6 (the table can be left blank), however, by 

default the installation routine only configures the browser selected in Step 5.  Other applications will 

use the satellite proxy only if they are configured to do so either during the first installation process or 

by running the Installation Checker again and entering the correct details at Step 6. 

Note: you can use any port value between 1025 and 65535 except for 9201, 9202 9203 which are 

already in use.
