Set permissions on filename  > 0644 /home/folder/ 

Troubleshooting 

If a file cannot be viewed, make sure that it is world readable. Making any files 

world writable could allow them to be changed by unauthorized users. 

Moving files 

Overview 

You can use the 

Move File

 function in the 

File Manager

 to move a file from one 

directory to another directory without creating a copy of the file. 

Steps 

1 

 To access the 

FILE MANAGER

, click on the 

 icon above the words 

File 

Manager

 on the main screen of your cPanel interface.

 Click on the icon next to the file you wish to move.

 Click on the words 

Move File

 in the menu on the right hand side of the screen:

 A list of folders will appear on the left hand side of the screen.
