warfare, the South has become one of the most well equipped and well 

armed of the ten kingdoms. 

The king of the South is not foolish or rash; he sees that this enemy is 

dangerous. But he has many allies and finds the circumstances to be very 

favorable to him, so he goes to war with the Antichrist. But the deceitfulness 

of the Antichrist reaches even to those who eat bread with the king of the 

South. This may well be a reference to the Eucharist and the holy Mass, 

such that the king of the South is betrayed even by some of those Christians 

who attend Mass and receive the Eucharist with him, his most trusted 

friends and advisors. 

Thus, the Antichrist overcomes the king of the South, and is able to suppress 

the South s army without having to completely defeat them in battle. Then, 

once he takes control of the South, the Antichrist mercilessly executes those 

he has captured. 

{11:27} And the heart of two kings will be similar, to do harm, and they will 

speak lies at one table, but they will not succeed, because as yet the end is 

for another time. 

These two kings are the kings of two of the ten kingdoms of the world, the 

kingdom of the East and the kingdom of the Meridian (Africa, except for 

northern Africa, which is a part of the South kingdom). They try to outfox 

the Antichrist by pretending to be friendly and to make an alliance, but they 

will not succeed because God intends a different timing and circumstance 

for the end of the Antichrist s reign. 

{11:28} And he will return to his land with many resources. And his heart 

will be against the holy testament, and he will act, and he will return to his 

own land. 

The Antichrist returns to his own land, after defeating and taking control of 

the two other kingdoms. Now he controls four of the ten kingdoms of the 

world (North, South, East, Meridian). His resources are vast. The other six 

kings of the world realize they cannot oppose him now. The North and the 

South were two of the best armed kingdoms of the ten (because of the 

constant wars between them). Now that the Antichrist has added the 

kingdoms of the Meridian (most of Africa) and the East (perhaps China et 

al.), he cannot be defeated by human efforts, not even if all six of the 

remaining kingdoms were to attack him.
