256 The Bible and the Future of the World
{2:43} Yet, because you saw the iron mingled with pottery from the earth,
they will indeed be combined together with the offspring of man, but they
will not adhere to one another, just as iron cannot be mixed with
earthenware.
{2:44} But in the days of those kingdoms, the God of heaven will inspire a
kingdom that will never be destroyed, and his kingdom will not be handed
over to another people, and it will crush and will consume all these
kingdoms, and this kingdom itself will stand in eternity.
{2:45} In accordance with what you saw, because the stone was torn away
from the mountain without hands, and it crushed the earthenware, and the
iron, and the brass, and the silver, and the gold, the great God has shown
the king what will happen after this. And the dream is true, and its
interpretation is faithful.
The kingdom of the Antichrist is divided in the sense that there will always
be those who oppose him and his rule. Even though, in general, the
Antichrist will rule over the whole world, specifically, there will always be
areas of his kingdom where his unwilling subjects reject him and even rebel
against him.
The kingdom of the Antichrist operates in a different way than the kingdom
of the ten kings and all previous kingdoms. The difference is represented by
mixing iron and clay. This refers to technology in some way integrated with
human biology. The mark of the beast and its number, 666 or 616, is
mentioned in the Book of Revelation. People are marked on the hand or
forehead and cannot buy or sell without this mark. The mark, as many have
speculated, is some type of technology imbedded in the human body, like
iron mixed with clay. But, since this will occur hundreds of years in the
future (A.D. 2400 s), we cannot be certain what type of technology.
The iron mixed with the clay also means that the Antichrist attempts to mix
the worship of false gods (the iron) with human nature (the clay). That
which is merely human, the Antichrist, presents himself as a false god, as if
he were made of gold or silver or brass or iron or stone or wood, as the false
idols of ancient times.
{4:1} I, Nebuchadnezzar, was content in my house and prospering in my
palace.
{4:2} I saw a dream that terrified me, and my thoughts on my bed and the
visions in my head disturbed me.
