From the Book of Revelation 147
Christians sometimes fail to imitate Christ because they instead seek the
acceptance of other people by imitating them. To be a faithful Christian, one
must sometimes go against what others are doing. The Christians described
in this passage have become rich and prosperous by imitating and seeking
the acceptance of other people, instead of Christ.
When good deeds are rewarded by society, many will do good. But when
good deeds are punished and evil deeds are rewarded, then it will be seen
who is truly devoted to God.
The Lamb of God (Rev 5)
And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the
elders, I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns
and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the
earth.... (Rev 5:6).
The four living creatures represent the four Gospels. Jesus is the Lamb
who was slain. The Lamb has seven horns and seven eyes, which represent
the seven parts of the Church. Therefore, sometime during this next period
of time, when the seven seals are opened, the Church will be reorganized
into seven parts.
Holy Scripture uses the image of seven seals, and later in Revelation, a
numbering of angels with trumpets, so that the described events will have an
order. The first seal occurs first, and then the second, and so on. When these
events actually begin to happen, (and many from this generation will live to
see it), people will know what is coming next, because the events have been
ordered by number.
The First Seal (Rev 6:1 2)
And I saw, and behold, a white horse, and its rider had a bow; and a
crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.
(Rev 6:2).
The first horseman represents a major war which will occur. The phrase
conquering and to conquer indicates that the war will be widespread,
since after conquering there is still more to conquer. This war may still be
going on even as the scourges of the next seals are beginning.
The first seal and the first horseman is the war of the Arab nations against
Europe, World War III, which will begin in A.D. 2010. (A small war among
the Arab nations in 2009 will precede and prepare for this great war.) The
Arab nations will attack Europe and a large part of Africa. This war will be
long and bloody; millions of people will die.
