60    The Bible and the Future of the World 

    Oh, what great crosses you shall bear for Christ during those terrible 

years! So when you see the Holy Mass and the Holy Eucharist taken away 

from the Church (in most places on earth), then you must know that the 

Crucifixion of the Church is upon you. When Jesus was severely persecuted, 

tortured, and left on the Cross to die, He prayed fervently to God. So also 

must you pray unceasingly to God. And, after 3  years of very great 

suffering, all shall be made well by God. All evil will be vanquished. All the 

wicked will be punished as never before. And then all the earth shall be 

renewed. 

    Some Catholics might be upset because I write that the Holy Mass and 

the Holy Eucharist will be mostly taken away from the Church. Yet that is 

what Holy Scripture says (Dan 9:27, 11:31, 12:11 12, Rev 11:2, 13:5 7), and 

God's Holy Scripture is Infallible (John 10:35). 

    Remember also that many times in the Church's history, in one place or 

another, Christianity has been outlawed and those who practiced it were 

tortured and put to death. During those times of persecution, the Holy Mass 

was said less often and then only in secret, for fear of the authorities. 

Sometimes these past persecutions appeared to have as their aim to put an 

end to Christianity all together. 

    So then, why should it be so hard for you to believe that Christians could 

again be persecuted? You should not be surprised when I say that one future 

persecution of Christians will be nearly worldwide, for this is clearly written 

in Holy Scripture. Jesus Himself taught this to His disciples. 

      `Then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and put you to death; and 

you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.'   (Mt 24:9). 

    When all nations hate Christians, then this prophecy spoken by Jesus 

Christ will be  fulfilled. A severe worldwide persecution of Christians will 

occur during the 25th century  A.D., in the 2430's during the reign of 

Antichrist. And there will be other persecutions of Christians before that 

time which will be very widespread. 

    A foreshadowing of that great persecution will occur during the 21st 

century  A.D. This persecution of Christians will be widespread, but not 

worldwide. It will occur near the end of the Forty Years (during the 2030's). 

This terrible persecution of Christians will take place mostly in Europe (and 

in some other countries to a lesser extent). At that time the Holy Mass and 

the Holy Eucharist will be taken away from most places in that area. 

Christianity will be made illegal. Priests and religious will be hunted down, 

tortured, and executed. The Holy Mass will be held seldom, and then only 

in secret. This persecution of Christianity is but a dim image of that future 

persecution in the 25th century, the greatest suffering of the Church, the 

Church's Crucifixion.
