The Crucifixion of the Church 59
the words of consecration at that first Holy Eucharist. The priest's words of
consecration are Jesus' words of consecration.
Jesus cannot lie. Jesus' words can never be false, not even for one
moment. Therefore, when Jesus says, through the priest, This is my body,
it is at that very moment that the bread becomes Jesus. And when Jesus
says, through the priest, This is the cup of my blood, the wine is
immediately changed into Jesus, even before the remainder of the words of
consecration are said. As soon as the holy word body is said, the bread
becomes Jesus. And as soon as the holy word blood is said, the wine
becomes Jesus. This is the moment of consecration of the Holy Eucharist.
The Church's Last Supper (Mark 14:25)
`Truly, I say to you, I shall not drink again of the fruit of the vine until
that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.' (Mark 14:25).
The first Eucharist took place at Jesus' Last Supper before His death. The
Holy Eucharist was not celebrated again until after Jesus had suffered, died,
and risen from the dead.
In the same way, when the Holy Eucharist is mostly taken away from the
Church, the Holy Eucharist and the Holy Mass will not be returned to the
Church until the Church passes through the time of great suffering and so
enters into Her time of glory on earth (after the punishment of the wicked).
However, in some places on earth, during the Church's great suffering,
the Holy Mass and the Holy Eucharist will persist. The Holy Mass and the
Holy Eucharist will be not be celebrated publicly or openly in most places,
because there will be a severe, worldwide persecution of Christianity.
Whenever they are able, though, the few faithful who remain will try to
gather in secret to offer the Holy Mass and receive the Holy Eucharist.
During the years when the Church will be mostly deprived of the Holy
Eucharist and the Holy Mass, the true disciples of Jesus Christ will fast.
Jesus Himself predicted this when He said, `The days will come, when the
bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.' (Mt 9:15).
This saying refers not only to the time of Jesus' Passion and Crucifixion, but
also to the time of the Church's Passion and Crucifixion. The bridegroom
who is taken away is Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.
To those faithful servants of God who will live on earth during the years
when the Holy Mass and the Holy Eucharist are mostly taken away, I say,
You are Christ crucified. Christ Jesus' words, `I shall not drink again of
the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of
God,' (Mark 14:25), refer also to you, some of whom will not be able to
eat and drink of that Holy Food again until God's kingdom is firmly
established on earth.
