The Crucifixion of the Church 57
The Church will love the world by suffering in order to bring the whole
world to repentance, conversion, and holiness. Christ Jesus suffered and was
crucified to bring the Church and the world to God. So also will the Church
suffer greatly in order to complete the transformation of the Church and the
world into Christ's image of holiness and love. Therefore, after the time of
great suffering described in the book of Revelation, there will be a time of
great holiness, when Christ's teaching and Christ's Church will rule the
whole world.
During that earlier suffering of the Church (during the Forty Years), the
Church will also suffer much and, to some extent, begin to transform the
world to greater holiness and love. A time of peace and holiness also
follows, in the 2040's, but does not last and is not complete at that time.
That They May Be One (John 17:20 26)
`The glory which thou hast given me I have given to them, that they
may be one even as we are one, I in them and thou in me, that they may
become perfectly one, so that the world may know that thou hast sent me
and hast loved them even as thou hast loved me.' (John 17:22 23).
Jesus is telling us that the Church will become one, that Christianity will
become united and the divisions of the present time will end. Jesus prayed
that all His disciples be one. His prayer cannot fail. Therefore, the time must
arrive when all Christian Churches will be united in the Catholic Church, as
one Church with one Faith and one Shepherd. All Christians shall worship
God in one Church, with unity of beliefs and leadership. Jesus prayed for
unity; there shall be unity.
This unity will occur in the early A.D. 2020's. Then Christians will be
united in one Church for a long time. Eventually, there will again be
divisions within the Church. Then I broke my second staff Union,
annulling the brotherhood between Judah and Israel. (Zech 11:14). This
disunity occurs prior to the time of the Church's Passion and Crucifixion, as
is clear from the previous verses which refer to events prior to Jesus'
Crucifixion (Zech 11:12 13).
The Twelve Tribes of Israel (Luke 22:28 30)
`You are those who have continued with me in my trials; as my Father
appointed a kingdom for me, so do I appoint for you that you many eat and
drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve
tribes of Israel.' (Luke 22:28 30).
The twelve tribes of Israel are the twelve parts of the Church. The Church
will have twelve parts just as Israel had twelve tribes, because the Church is
