From the Gospel of Matthew 17
The Gospel of Mark comments, For he did not know what to say, for
they were exceedingly afraid. (Mark 9:6). So too, will the people and the
leaders of the Church be exceedingly afraid in those days.
Luke's Gospel also adds, not knowing what he said (Luke 9:33). What
Peter suggested did not happen. At the Church's transfiguration, Pope
Benedict XVI will suggest building three places for these three religions, but
it will not happen for many years. There will be war between the Christian
nations and the Arabs. Thus, I think that there will not be a celebration of
the three religions, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, nor three places built to
honor these three, until after the Forty Years.
However, in the book of the prophet Zechariah, a devout future
celebration of the feast of booths, after a time of great suffering, is foretold.
(This is not merely the ancient feast of booths observed by the Jews.)
Then every one that survives of all the nations that have come against
Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the L
ORD
of
hosts, and to keep the feast of booths. (Zechariah 14:16).
So then, some kind of booths or places for these three religions will be
built, but not when the Pope suggests it, and only after the time of trials.
Then every one that survives will keep this holy celebration. The three
booths are three places to worship God: a Church, a Temple, and a Mosque.
This will occur after the time of great trials at the end of the Forty Years.
Then there will be some kind of celebration of these three religions. And
there will be three places of worship for these three religions in Jerusalem
(sometime in the A.D. 2040's).
Also, at the time when Jesus was transfigured, He was seen speaking with
Moses and Elijah. Therefore, at the time of the Church's transfiguration (late
in the first decade of the 21st century, and again in the 2040's), the leaders of
the Church will converse with the leaders of the Jewish and Muslim faiths.
A voice from God singles out Jesus from Moses and Elijah, `This is my
beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.' (Mt 17:5). And
after this, they saw only Jesus. Therefore, at the time of the Church's later
transfiguration (after the destruction of Antichrist in the 25th century),
Judaism and Islam will pass away, leaving only one faith on earth,
Christianity. This refers to the beginning of the Millennium; the time of
great holiness on earth.
A New Office in the Church
Jesus takes Peter, James, and John with Him to witness His
Transfiguration. Jesus sets Peter apart from and above the other Apostles.
Peter is the first Pope, the leader of the Apostles. Peter also represents the
office of Pope, that is, the job or position of Pope in the Church. He
