From the Gospel of Matthew 13
Church will have seven parts, but at the end of this time the Church will
have twelve parts, like the twelve tribes of Israel.
Do not be surprised when I say that the Church will eventually have 12
parts. The completed Church is described by the book of Revelation using
the image of a beautiful city with 12 gates for the 12 tribes of Israel (Rev
21:9 21). The Holy Catholic Church is the new Israel, and it shall have 12
parts.
The Church will be reformed from a seven part structure into a twelve
part structure beginning sometime prior to the reign of Antichrist, the time
of the Church's great suffering. This change will occur in the 24th or early
25th century. Also, during the long period of time called the Millennium of
peace and holiness, which takes place after the sufferings of the greater
tribulation, the Church will have twelve parts.
Walking on the Sea (Mt 14:22 33)
And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up into the hills by
himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, but the boat by
this time was many furlongs distant from the land, beaten by the waves; for
the wind was against them. And in the fourth watch of the night he came to
them, walking on the sea. (Mt 14:23 25).
The disciples in the boat symbolize the Church. The boat is beaten by the
waves and the wind is against them, meaning that the world is contrary to
the Church during this time. This passage refers to a time of trials for the
Church. It occurs in the fourth watch of the night, which is late into the
night. The night symbolizes a time of suffering for the Church. The fourth
watch means near the end of the night, the end of that time of suffering.
During that time of trials, some disciples, even some leaders of the
Church have doubts, like Peter; but Christ saves. The time of trials ends
suddenly, by the power of Jesus Christ. This passage speaks to any time of
trials and suffering for the Church, but especially to the time of the Church's
greatest suffering (during the 2430's), and to the great sufferings at the end of
the Forty Years (during the late 2030's).
This passage may also be telling us about the time at the end of the
Millennium (the more than one thousand years of peace and holiness
described in Rev 20:3 7). Holy Scripture says, For a thousand years in Thy
sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch of the night.
(Psalms 90:4). The fourth watch of the night, then, would refer to the fourth
period of one thousand years after the birth of Jesus, the period of time from
about the year 3001 to 4000. The Millennium begins in the mid 25th century
A.D. and ends well over 1,000 years later, sometime between 3500 and
4000. Or, perhaps the fourth watch of the night is the fourth period of time
