Network type AVG S Tool searches for AVG Anti Virus on network stations either in the
range of a domain from which the installation is launched (i.e. where the station with AVG S
Tool installed is located), or within the range defined by the IP addresses (on the previous
AVG Agent tab).

Scan network After pressing this button, AVG S Tool will start inspecting separate network
workstations for the AVG Agent service and AVG Anti Virus presence. The search results are
then displayed using the following icons:
Station found (the station is registered in the domain); the station status has not been
inspected yet
Neither AVG Agent nor AVG Anti Virus are installed on the workstation
AVG Agent is installed on the workstation; AVG Anti Virus is not installed
Both AVG Agent and AVG Anti Virus are installed on the workstation
An error occurred while communicating with the station. Double click to show detailed
information. Typically, an error occurs if communication with AVG Agent is blocked (e.g.
by a firewall), or your password is invalid
While searching the network, AVG S Tool shows a dialog providing information on progress of
the required operation. Press the Cancel button to stop the operation at any time.

Workstations The option displays the current number of stations on which the desired
operations should be performed.

Force install The option specifies that the AVG Agent service together with AVG Anti Virus
should be installed even on stations where AVG Anti Virus is already installed. This
functionality allows you to perform AVG Anti Virus reinstallation on all network workstations.

Mask password Selecting this option will prevent the password from being displayed on
your computer's monitor.

AVG Agent password Enter the password that will protect communication between AVG S
Tool and the AVG Agent service on remote workstations. If the password is specified, no
operations using the AVG S Tool can be performed on the remote workstations without
knowing it. The password is related to the AVG Agent service only, and it does not influence
any other remote station settings. This password must be specified BEFORE you launch AVG
Agent installation on remote workstations!
To change the AVG Agent password, follow these steps:
Type the new password into the AVG Agent password field
Select the Force install option!
Run AVG Anti Virus remote installation
A dialog asking for the AVG Agent password will be displayed enter the original
password into this dialog!
After the installation, the AVG Agent on the station uses the new password already
