MIB
Database of network management information that is used and maintained by a
network management protocol, such as SNMP or CMIP. The value of a MIB
object can be changed or retrieved using SNMP or CMIP commands, usually
through a GUI network management system. MIB objects are organized in a tree
structure that includes public (standard) and private (proprietary) branches.
N
NVRAM
Nonvolatile Random Access Memory. A medium for storing the device's
configuration file.
nslookup
The NSLookup tool is used to look up device or host information via the name
server. You must enter a device name, not an IP address, to use this function.
You must have a DNS server in order to look up network servers.
O
owner
Used by Content Services Switch, it is generally the person or company who
contracts the web hosting service to host their web content and allocate
bandwidth as required.

appliance. Cisco's PIX firewalls deliver up to 500,000 simultaneous connections
