Command History Feature
Command History Feature
The CLI provides a command history feature. To display previously entered
commands, press the up arrow key. After pressing the up arrow key, you can press
the down arrow key to display the commands in reverse order. To run a command,
press the Enter key while the command is displayed on the command line. You
can also edit commands before pressing the Enter key.
System Help
You can obtain help using the following methods:
For a list of all commands and their syntax, enter help, then press Enter.
For help about a specific command, type the command name, a space, and a
question mark, then press Enter, for example, ntp ?. The help contains
command usage information and syntax.

Command Description Conventions
Command descriptions in this document and in the CLI help system use the
following conventions:
Vertical bars (|) separate alternative, mutually exclusive elements.
Square brackets ([ ]) indicate optional elements.
Braces ({ }) indicate a required choice.
Braces within square brackets ([{ }]) indicate a required choice within an
optional element.
