To disable a service, uncheck the check box next to the service or services you no 

longer want and click Apply.

Use the following guidelines if you are unsure whether you need these services.

There must be at least one active service.

Provisioning

Use if you have service load balancers 

(SLBs) and if you are performing 

provisioning tasks on these SLBs.

Monitoring

Use if you need to use the reports 

feature.

Use if you want the devices to be 

polled.

Syslog

Use if you have devices configured to 

send messages to the HSE.

HSEIdleServer

Closes inactive SSH/Telnet sessions 

after 20 minutes.

HSERepository

Local software repository for upgrades 

and installs.

Authentication Modules

The Hosting Solution Engine provides a mechanism for authenticating users 

through the Local authentication module and a local database of user IDs and 

passwords. Many network managers, however, already have an authentication 

service. To use your own authentication service instead of the Local module, you 

can select one of the alternative modules:
