SE Sync

Use the SE Sync option to synchronize two Hosting Solution Engines. Both 

Hosting Solution Engines will then share all device and user information. The 

sync is not automatic. That is, after the initial sync, any changes to either machine 

will not automatically update the other.

You can sync to another Hosting Solution Engine running either the same version 

or newer version. 

Note

The Sync option does not sync information stored in Flash, such as CLI user and 

configuration information.

Procedure

Step 1

Select Administration >Software >SE Sync.

Note

While the sync is in progress, all services will be down on the receiving 

Hosting Solution Engine. However, you can make changes to the source 

Hosting Solution Engine during a sync.

Step 2

In the IP field, enter the IP address of the Hosting Solution Engine to which you 

want to sync.

Step 3

In the Username field, enter the user name (role) that has access to the receiving 

Hosting Solution Engine.

Note

You must have admin privilege to the Hosting Solution Engine you want 

to sync to.

Step 4

In the Password field, enter your password.

Caution

All information in the receiving Hosting Solution Engine will be overwritten 

during the sync.

Step 5

Click Sync.
