Chapter 5 Configuring Devices
Configuring Server Load Balancing Services
Note
If you have added any tiered access domains, you can add the newly created
services to that domain. A window appears that allows you to enter the domain to
which you want to add the service. This happens when any service is added
(content rules, services, owners, virtual servers, and the like). Click Continue.
If the task is successful, a confirmation window appears. Click OK. The service
is added to the configuration tree.
If there are errors, an error message window appears. Click OK to close the
window.
The service is created with default properties. To edit these properties, see
Adding
or Removing a Service from a Content Rule, page 5 56
. To create a content rule,
see
Creating a Content Rule, page 5 55
.

Creating a Content Rule
For the CSS, an owner is designated and content rules are set up to instruct the
CSS how to handle traffic to a web server.
The relationship between the CSS owner and content rule is hierarchical. Content
rules cannot exist without owners.
Note
Your login determines whether you can use this option.
Procedure
Step 1
Click on owner, then click Create Content Rule.
