Using the Configuration Tree
In the Configure tab option, the configuration tree displays devices and services
in the left pane and forms and messages in the right pane of the user interface.
When using the Configure subtabs, there are many tree concepts that are unique.
DNS names will be used for device IP and CSM real server IPs.
Names defined with the name alias for LocalDirector real and virtual IPs will
display.
Service chassis will have DNS names and IP addresses in parentheses next to
it.
Service chassis tree is different from the configuration tree.
CSM 3.x or later modules use the master DNS name or the master IP address
to name the redundant pair. When you expand the IP address, it expands to
show both modules.
CSS uses the device pair name defined in the Device Manager to name the
redundant pair. When you expand the DNS or IP address, it expands to show
both devices.
If there are two CSM 3.x or later modules in one chassis and one module is
in redundant mode, the other module will display separately on the
configuration tree. The paired module will display as a CSM pair.
