4.8 Disk Utilities 

The Disk Utilities enable you to low level format or verify the media of your Serial ATA 

hard disks. 

From the Adaptec RAID Configuration Utility menu, select Disk Utilities.

Press the  key to select SATA Disk.

Warning 

Take caution in using this option;  

Format Disk This drive is about to be formatted. All data on the disk 

will be erased.  

Verify Disk Media  This drive will be scanned for media defects. All 

recoverable defects will be remapped.
